Celtic 1-0 St Mirren

Celtic are playing pretty well but they'd love a second goal. Kieran Tierney drives down the left-hand side but his cross lands on the roof of the net.

Killing games off has been a repeated problem for Celtic this season.

GREAT SAVE!

Celtic 1-0 St Mirren

And this time it's a top save from Grant Tamosevicius!

Benjamin Nygren slips in Daizen Maeda and his fierce low shot is parried away by the St Mirren substitute.

As an ex-goalkeeper, I really hope that it goes really well for the young man and he survives this.

He could be the hero, who knows.

What a way to make your debut at a football club. God only knows what's going through his head right now.

I just pray and hope he does well. Come on, Granty boy.

I can't stop laughing. He's just passed his driving test.

Saints bring on 17-year-old keeper

Well, Thommo, he's on. Struan will be cheering Grant Tamosevicius on along with the other Buddies fans.

Ryan Mullen trudges off and probably wishes the Hampden turf would open up and swallow him whole.

A costly error after 55 seconds, and now off injured on 14 minutes.

On the bench is my son's teammate in the under-19 team, Grant Tamosevicius.

He's a great wee goalie and last night, my son was saying to me "imagine he has to come on!"

I said "I doubt it, Struan" but he'll take it in his stride, he's a great wee kid and he's been great for the under-19s.

Ouch!

Celtic 1-0 St Mirren

St Mirren goalkeeper Ryan Mullen is now down in his own box, getting treatment from the physios.

Seventeen-year-old Grant Tamosevicius is the only replacement available given Shamal George is injured.

He's warming up and looks set to make his pro debut here!

Celtic put in shift

Celtic 1-0 St Mirren

Benjamin Nygren beats St Mirren's pressure and Celtic work it to Yang Hyun-jun.

It's cut out by the Saints defence, but then goalkeeper Ryan Mullen is almost charged down again by Nygren as he clears.

Celtic are noticeably running a lot more than last week.

HITS THE WOODWORK

Celtic 1-0 St Mirren

Arne Engels curls a lovely shot from the edge of the box off a post!

It was a well-worked opportunity from the corner by Celtic, and they are unlucky not to be 2-0 up.

You've got to know your opposition, know Maeda will charge everything down.

Craig McLeish wants his team to play more with the football but you can't take risks like that early on. You must get rid. Too dangerous.

'Mullen should have put his foot through it'

Incredible.

Ryan Mullen should have been aware there. He should have put his foot through it, but the touch allows Maeda to make up the ground.

He's got to try and shut it out now. It's part and parcel of being a professional.

GOAL - Celtic 1-0 St Mirren

Daizen Maeda

Oh my word. A nightmare for stand-in goalkeeper Ryan Mullen.

On just his second start of the season, he takes a loose touch from Miguel Freckleton's pass.

With Maeda around, you can't afford to do that. The Celtic striker slides in to block the clearance and it hits off him and slides into the net!
