Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles news and links …The Eagles’ top 10 options with their first round pick - PhillyVoice1) Lane Johnson successor. Though still an elite player, Lane Johnson turns 36 in May and he missed almost half the season in 2025. Now feels like the time to find his successor to groom for a starting role in the near future. […] Those seven guys will all likely go Round 1, and in my opinion, Freeling and Proctor make a lot of sense as unfinished prospects with high ceilings who could use a year to develop behind the scenes. After the above seven players, there’s a pretty big dropoff in quality to the next group of offensive tackles. In other words, if you’re a tackle-needy team and you don’t take one in the first round, you’re going to have to settle for a way lesser prospect on Day 2 or 3, whereas with some other positions — as noted at wide receiver above — the dropoff isn’t as drastic. It’s been a while since the Eagles selected an offensive lineman in the first round, because, well, they haven’t needed to. But this feels like the year that they go back to their roots and put premium draft capital behind building their offensive line pipeline.Eagles take a big swing in final 7-round mock draft - NBCSP1-23: Max Iheanachor, OT, Arizona State: Yeah, I’m sticking with Iheanachor. In my last mock draft, I had the Eagles picking Iheanachor and I’m not moving off of that. He just feels like an Eagles pick to me. Iheanachor (6-6, 321) might be a tad raw but his ceiling is exceptionally high. And as the Eagles look to find Lane Johnson’s eventual replacement, they should be taking a big swing at a player who has great potential. Iheanachor fits that bill. He needs some refinement but he does have high-level college starting experience already and the frame and athleticism to make you think he has a very bright future. Iheanachor, 22, has a unique backstory. He didn’t move to the United States from Nigeria until he was 13 and didn’t play high school football. After a couple years at a JUCO program, Iheanachor transferred to Arizona State and ended up being a starting right tackle for 2 1/2 seasons. He then went to the Senior Bowl and crushed it and then went to the NFL Combine and crushed it. At the Senior Bowl, Iheanachor showed how he stacked up against top competition, and at the combine, he showed his next-level athleticism.2026 NFL draft: Mel Kiper’s favorite prospects by position - ESPNOFFENSIVE TACKLE — Max Iheanachor, Arizona State: Iheanachor should be a first-rounder based on his potential, but he’s probably a second-rounder when it’s all said and done. For those who don’t yet know his story, Iheanachor grew up playing soccer in Nigeria and didn’t start playing football until 2022. Four years ago! I love everything about his journey to this point and how he just keeps getting better and better. He’s 6-foot-6 and 321 pounds, and he has 33⅞-inch arms. Iheanachor ran an incredible 4.91-second 40 at the combine, too, showcasing his quickness. Despite being new to the game, he started 31 games in college, and he went up against some good edge rushers at right tackle. The arrow is pointing up on Iheanachor.A.J. Brown trade between Eagles and Patriots reportedly “still tracking to happen on or after June 1” - BGNAs Bleeding Green Nation’s own reporting has indicated, which has only been further corroborated, Brown has been asking out since early last season. That doesn’t necessarily mean that the Eagles have to trade him … but I don’t think the team is interested in another season where Brown looks frustrated and checked out. Besides, it’s clear they’ve been preparing for his departure by signing Hollywood Brown and trading for Dontayvion Wicks to go with new undisputed WR1 DeVonta Smith. The Eagles will likely look to add even more wide receiver talent via the 2026 NFL Draft.A.J. Brown likely to be traded to Patriots after June 1, per report - Pats PulpitAfter his colleague Ian Rapoport of NFL Network mentioned last week that wide receiver A.J. Brown getting traded from the Philadelphia Eagles to the New England Patriots is “probably the most likely scenario,” ESPN’s Adam Schefter echoed those remarks on Monday. “No matter what happens at this week’s draft, an A.J. Brown trade to the Patriots is still on the table and still tracking to happen on or after June 1,” Schefter wrote. He added that a deal has been discussed and that, for salary cap purposes, it will not be processed until said date.NFL mock draft 2026: Updated projection after Giants acquire second top-10 pick in big trade - SB NationWelcome to Draft Week. The 2026 NFL Draft gets underway in Pittsburgh in just a few short days, but the week begins with a shocker. The New York Giants sent defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals, in exchange for the No. 10 pick in the draft. New York now owns a pair of picks inside the top ten, and the Giants are one of several teams — along with the Jets, the Cowboys, the Browns, the Chiefs, and the Dolphins — with a pair of picks in the first round. As the week begins, here is our latest look at how the first round could unfold. For those wondering, this is more of a predictive mock, trying to sift through the latest reporting and rumors to predict how the first 32 picks will come off the board. In some cases — see No. 10 for example — there is an element of “what I would do” that plays a roleSchefter: Jonathan Greenard Trade Still Possible on Draft Weekend - Daily NorsemanAdam Schefter is reporting that the Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles could go back to exploring a trade involving edge rusher Jonathan Greenard. According to Schefter, the Vikings have been adamant about receiving a “premium Day 2 pick” in exchange for Greenard if they were to trade him. The Eagles have three picks on Day 2 of this years Draft: a second-round pick at #54 overall, and two third-round picks at #68 and #98 overall, the latter of which is a compensatory selection that would fall right after the Vikings pick at #97 as the board sits right now.Reviewing the 2025 Rookies - Iggles BlitzJihaad Campbell was the first round pick. We were shocked the Eagles went with an off-ball LB that early. It was the first time since 1979. Campbell was forced to start because Nakobe Dean was hurt. Campbell started 10 games, finishing fourth on the team with 80 tackles. He had an INT, a FR, 2 TFLs, 1 FF and 3 PDs. He showed a lot of potential, but did have his ups and downs. He showed cover skills. He was a solid tackler. His run defense was up and down, but that comes with adjusting to the pro game. Overall there was a lot to like. Campbell has a bright future and should be a key player for years to come.Estimating The Number Of 2026 UDFAs For Each Team - Over The Cap[BLG Note: The Eagles are currently projected to sign eight undrafted rookie free agents, which is on the low end.]Why Giants draft trade boosts Cowboys draft odds - Blogging The BoysCan the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants actually be friends for a day? In a move that sent alarm bells through the NFC East, the Giants have officially traded away their defensive anchor, Dexter Lawrence, to the Cincinnati Bengals for the rights to the 10th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. This massive shakeup has altered the script for the draft, and it could end up having a butterfly effect that is felt by the Cowboys when pick 12 rolls around. The ripple effect starts immediately. Before this trade, draft experts almost universally pegged the Bengals to grab a defensive disruptor to bolster their front. Now that the layout has shifted, the Giants hold that pick, and they could find themselves staring at one of the top offensive stars. If the Giants decide to pivot toward offense, it could set a domino effect that could leave a defensive star sliding further down the board and right into the arms of the Cowboys.Washington Commanders Draft Rumors: No. 7 is the floor for Love and Styles; Tate is their top WR - Hogs HavenIt’s draft week, which means the rumor mill will be kicking into high gear for Thursday night’s event in Pittsburgh. The Washington Commanders currently hold six picks, with No. 7 starting off their draft night(barring any trades up or down). There has been a lot of speculation on who Adam Peters will probably won’t draft, and whether he’ll be able to pull off a trade down in a “weak” draft class. Here are a few of the latest draft rumors involving the Commanders and pick #7. Most people are linking Washington to Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love and say they are his floor for getting drafted. He could be the first RB to get drafted in the Top 5 since Saquon Barkley, and take that option off the table for Peters. Adam Schefter threw in a little nugget about Washington’s desire to improve the RB room, saying they would have pursued Aaron Jones Sr. last offseason if he didn’t re-sign with the Vikings.NFL Draft rumors: Could NY Giants land BOTH Sonny Styles and Caleb Downs? - Big Blue ViewThe New York Giants entered a new world with Saturday’s trade of Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals. The Giants now own the fifth and 10th overall picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, which begins on Thursday. What will they do with those? I am especially nostalgic about former Eagles. What former Eagle* that you watched play (live in person or on TV) who isn't in the PFHOF do you think should be enshrined in Canton?*Stick to guys who are eligible—at least 5 years retired. I'd like to rule Shady out of the discussion, since he was a semi-finalist or finalist this year, which I think was his first year of eligibility; however, I won't since some you may feel he deserved to get in this year (i.e. was snubbed).*Stick to former Eagles that were able to make their mark here, unlike a guy like Julio Jones (if he were actually eligible), who had limited playing time in Philly.Ideally, I'd like you to stick to your top guy. I, however, will list a few to get us started😏.My Selections:Defense: Seth Joyner, Clyde SimmonsOffense: Ricky WattersRunners up: Brian Westbrook and Darren Sproles for all-purpose yardsLikeRec 2CommentsThin Stroke Comment Icon BubbleReplyRead 72 replies
